Our scarves begin as independent works of art, later reimagined for silk.
The process is meticulous.
Moving from canvas into the digital medium, each work is further developed by the artist specifically for silk. Colour, scale, composition and detail are carefully considered, while the brushwork, tonal transitions, irregularities and expressive character of the painting are preserved.
This is not simply a process of reproducing an image on fabric, but of translating one medium into another.
The challenge - and beauty - lies in preserving the integrity of the artwork through that transformation.

02 - THE EVOLUTION
The painting enters a new medium.
Through digital painting, the original artwork is further developed by the artist specifically for silk, allowing colour, composition and detail to evolve while remaining true to the character of the original work.
03 - THE COMPOSITION
The artwork takes a new form.
Scale, placement and proportion are carefully refined for the dimensions of each scarf, considering not only how the composition appears when laid flat, but how it transforms when folded, wrapped and worn.
04 - THE SILK
Art becomes wearable.
The finished composition is translated onto luxurious silk, where colour and intricate detail meet the natural fluidity and movement of the fabric.
05 - THE WEARER
The artwork begins a new life.
Details disappear and reappear. Colours meet in unexpected ways. Different fragments of the work emerge according to how the silk is folded and worn.
Each wearer creates their own experience of the artwork.

Particular attention is given to reproducing the complexity of the original paintings - gradients, layered pigments, delicate marks and transitions that cannot be reduced to simple blocks of colour.

THE ORIGINAL WORKS
Before silk,
there was art.
The paintings behind ORA Maison have lives of their own beyond the scarves they inspire.
They move between representation and abstraction, where form dissolves into atmosphere and emotion takes precedence over detail. Guided by intuition, layered compositions emerge through gestural brushwork and nuanced colour, exploring the tension between presence and impermanence.
Inspired by the rhythms of the natural world, the paintings become felt landscapes - immersive spaces where memory, light and movement converge.
Exhibited locally and internationally, they form part of private and corporate collections, with selected works recognised in prestigious art awards.
